When emailing me, please send over the address of the winning person, this will help me set up the time line.  I want to travel from one end of the county to the other & not hop around, so once we get all the directions I will send you your time slot.  Please note the time line is going to be set very loosely.  I want to capture each person & not be restricted by a time line.. so I may arrive a bit early or a bit late to you session, but if you include your cell number I will give you a call when I start your way.  I am also asking for limited people at the location, I would love for the client who submitted the image to be there to help introduce me.  Please understand that everyone feels a bit uncomfortable if several people are standing around while I photograph, so that is why I ask that the only person (other than the subject) be the person who submitted the image.  Thanks so much for understanding & for helping me make this day possible.  I'm EXCITED!

Joy Martin Benefit ~ you gotta come!

I personally have been counting down the days until the fun begins! I LOVE LOVE LOVE 

live music & can't wait to hear all the talented artists do there thing! With 7 different
groups playing I know there will be something there for everyone to enjoy! Please say 
you'll come, it'll be fun & the end results are great. Joy Martin needs a lil pick me up 
& this will for sure do the trick.  

Imagine for a second you've went through half of what Joy has...... 

what would be the drive to make you put one foot 

in front of another & learn to walk again? What would give you a 

vision of happiness?  Ready for the answer....

It'd be your faith in God, and everyone around you pushing you up because they love you, 

because they know you can make it.

So let's be there for her. With me, you, your sister, your brother, your friend, your mother, 

your neice, your neighbor, your grandpa, your church family, your co-worker, your 

housekeeper, your banker, your teacher, and your children attending this benefit Joy will 

see that she can make it through the recovery process. That we are all standing behind to 

pat her on the back for all that she has accomplished.  

The concert is free to public, so plan to spend one evening helping a super sweet lady know 

she's loved. The digital flyer below has all the details for this date.

And as you noticed in the sample certificate above, there will be an auction the night of the 
concert. I know they are auctioning off a grill from Sears, & a Photography Session 
& Disc of images from Nichol Engle Photography, and many other items. There will be
raffle tickets sold for Browning Shotgun. Door Prizes, Drawing for Free Vacation to PCB 
5 days & 4 nights!

I'm counting on you guys to be there & have a full house to this event. You never know 
when you may need someone to be there for you! I love you all & thank you all, Nichol.

This month's game wasn't going to be posted for another week, but I have gotten several emails & facebook comments with questions on it... so here it is.

As I tossed & turned in bed last night I came to the thoughts of my Granny & how I wished I had photographed her more.  I was thinking of the last time I saw her, how I tried to soak up every line in her skin, the curls in her hair, tried to take mental pictures of her hands... all the things about her I thought I may one day forget.  I know these things may fade, but also know I will see her in me everyday that I hold my children or when I see my Momma smile.  I know my Granny touched many lives, and she will live on in each of us.  I will still wish I had photographed her, captured her sweet clasp of hands, or the way her eyes squinted when she smiled.  So, in memory of my Granny I will give that to you.

I will spend one day traveling Ellijay to homes of the elderly.  I want to see these people in their normal state.  I want to capture them for who they really are, I want their hair to be fixed as they normally fix it, their clothing to be their everyday attire.  No need to straighten up their house, I want it to be just as it would be if you walked into it today.   I want to not only photograph them, but hear their stories and learn from them as I capture images of their lives.  The day I have reserved for taking these photos will be April 6th (Tuesday).  I will email the winner with the times available for that day.  There will be 4 winning photos.  The person who submits the photo will receive the disc of images edited & ready for printing.  The disc can be duplicated & shared with family, friends, etc.  Please make sure to okay this with the person whom you are nominated prior to submitting the photo.

If you would like to nominate your Grandma, Grandpa, neighbor, church member, etc. please send a photo (doesn't have to be a professional photo, just a snapshot...doesn't matter if you took it or Larry on the street ~ just a clear photo) to rforreste@etcmail.com  
Each photo will be looked at by my sweet Hubby.  Please send only the first name of the person in the photo.  I do not want Rob to know who is nominating the person in the photo, I want him to be able to choose the images simply by story that is shown in the person's face.  Winners will be announced on March 30th!

Anything goes photo day ~ What a fun time we had!

Thanks to all of you who came out & made this day a success.  Kristen & I really enjoyed our time with you guys!                   Any day is a good day when there is laughter, sunshine & memories made.  This day was just that!  Thanks for every second of it :)  Here are a few pics from the day ~ there will be more to come.. keep an eye on your facebook pages. ANYTHING GOES Photo Day!

Okay guys ~ let's try this again..  March 6th (yes, this Saturday!)  We will be hosting "Anything goes" day.   Exactly as the name states,  anything goes... so bring your kids, your grandkids, you & and your brother, your momma, your better half, your dog, or just you!  I will be cutting you guys a super deal ~ in light of the last minute planning & the pay out being small we will have a small price tag for this one (go ahead and squeal now)... okay are you ready!??!?  $100.00 for session & disc!!!!!  No, typo ~ really we are going to have your 30 minute session at Talking Rock Creek and your images put on disc (with cute lil label) all for 100 smackers!

I have posted some images I've captured at this location, just to give you all an idea of what to expect.  It will also give you an idea of clothing choices ~ All of you ask "what should I wear?"  I'll tell you ~ wear exactly what you wear everyday, what makes you feel like you!  There are two requirements...

1st You must come happy... so none of this stressing for the perfect outfit, or worrying about lil Jr.'s scratch on his nose.  Just come as you are, let's have fun & make some memories!

2nd  If you have children, you cannot tell them that you are going to have their pictures taken.  Instead tell them that you are going to play with a few of your friends (Nichol & Kristen) and that they might get to help us with a fun job.  This will help them fight the urge to paste the 'perma-grin/cheese smile' on their cute lil faces!  Instead what we will find is happy children, acting natural.  After all that is the child you want me to capture, Right!??!  So, make sure not to prep your child, threaten, or bribe them.. leave the bribing up to me ;)

I want this day to be a fun filled day that captures your family & will become a great memory for you all.
Please keep in mind, I do have existing appointment in the evening hours. The spots that are posted now, will be the only appointments available.  I will not be able to open Sunday for booking, so if you think you want a spot ~ act fast!   Once payment is made your will be added to the blog's appointment list.  Payments are non-refundable.  Should the weather act up, as it has been this year... your payment will be refunded in full.
