Christmas Photoday with Santa & Vintage Flair November 19, 2011

So excited for this photoday!! I spoke with Jolly ole' Saint Nick himself this morning & he is just as excited as I am to spend our day with you guys! We will be setting up outdoors and like always we are making it a bit different from the rest. We've decided to bring out "ole' Green" aka Toby our Vintage 1971 GMC truck ~ which is one of our trusty true props.. Ole' Toby Green came to us last year for our fall sessions and we were in love! The color of this truck is timeless and pops so well in pictures, I just know when we fill her truck bed full of brightly colored gifts it'll be cute as can be! Then if that weren't enough, we are going to plop our super sweet Santa Claus on the tailgate as he talks with all the good little (& big) kids for the day. We plan to have a few more special props to use with Santa like our Dish of cookies & our book the Night before Christmas. We will add fun stuff as we find it & don't even question it.. we are going all out for this one!!! So, mark your calendars because SANTA CLAUS IS COMING TO TOWN & it's going to be the cutest little visit he has ever made ~ let's show Santa how a photo day is done & help him to remember this day while on his trip to our sweet little town of Ellijay.

Photoday Details:

15 minute session with Santa & photographed by Nichol on November 19, 2011. $125.00 includes session time and disc of images (between 10-30 images). Payment will be split into two payments: One payment of $25.00 is due directly upon booking spot, the final payment of $100.00 is due upon session time in the form of cash or check. If you should wish to pay in advance with credit card online you will need to contact us for invoice and will be charged extra $5.00 fee for online processing. ** Please note 7% tax is added to the deposit and all other online payments.. this does not deduct from the total of photoday.

We plan to edit images and have disc mailed out by December 5th. so you can start printing for gifts and Christmas cards. We will not be able to design cards from this day as our editing time will not allow.

Images will be edited in full and ready for printing. Prints as large as poster prints or as small as wallets can be made from disc. We will provide printing lab info for professional grade prints at consumer pricing for all your printing needs.

If for any reason you are not able to keep your appointment slot you may sell it to a friend or family member but we will not be able to refund your deposit as we will be paying out for the time your session is reserved. So Deposit is NON-REFUNDABLE for any reason other than weather conditions or photographer's cancellations, in which your payment would be refunded in full. If you are able to contact us 4 days prior to session we can transfer your deposit toward another date.

I want you all to know when booking that you are not only booking for the outcome of images but also for the memories this appointment will bring to your children. This appointment will mean so much to the little ones who are able to come and not only talk to Santa but have Santa enjoy them.. When I met him this morning I was floored at his heart ~ he took his time with our meeting explaining his deep love for what he does. I was told by a local that he went to learn spanish so he could speak to the little ones who didn't speak English. When asked about that he told me that it broke his heart when a hispanic child sat on his lap and wanted to tell him what he wanted for Christmas but the only english words he knew were 'Trick or Treat' ;) He said he then knew he would have to learn to understand the little ones so they could all tell him their wishes. He also told me of his magic Key he brings to the sessions to tell the children of how he gets into the homes that do not have chimneys.. which is a question I've always had! He will tell you all about this key when you guys come.. it's the coolest :) So, why the stories.. I want you all to know that Santa enjoys this job & realizes what an important job he has with these little ones, he knows that they get butterflies in their bellies just by hearing his name & as they walk up to him to hop in his lap there eyes twinkle with magic.. it's the magic we all loose with the loss of our innocence. So while that magical sparkle of belief still lives in your child bring them out to meet our SOUTHERN GRACE SANTA, he will forever touch their hearts & help that spark last an extra year or two.

Vintage Fall Photo Day

Alright guys, one more full photoday for Fall Photos before Christmas :0) We totally rocked out the Fall Vintage Photoday, so let's do it again and add some stuff & change the location.... okay so we aren't really doing it again, we are simply using the same couch and funky pillows. Oh and the super cool TV with flowers growing from it & probably the same suitcase with plant inside.. the kids just loved em' so why not!?!?! Want to truly get excited?????? Just take a lil peek below, what is that?!?!? It is SUPER DOOOOOOOPER FUN STUFF THAT'S WHAT!! AND IT'S ALL MINE COME November 12, 2011. So get ready for me to be excited and U guys need to get excited to be part of the day! Book your session below!

$150.00 Session includes coverage time of 30 minutes with Nichol and disc of edited images. With this coverage time please plan on anywhere from 30-60 images on disc. From this disc you will be able to print and share as much as you want. All printing rights will be waived and purchased by client, so you may do as you please with images.

Payment details: Two payments will be required.... First payment due now to book $50.00 Final payment due at time of session $100.00

Friday Fall Photoday September 23, 2011 RESET DUE TO RAIN!!

Hey guys.. I want so badly to wrap our Vintage Fall Photoday up but this weather doesn't seem to be looking too good for it. As of now it is 30% chance of rain in afternoon hours, so instead of chancing it & getting our sweet green couch wet I am calling it off. Even if it doesn't rain a drop our lighting has to be good or the image quality will suffer greatly! We want the best for you images & session so Friday's Fall Day is cancelled and will be set to date that works for each of you. I will contact you soon to collect dates that you are available on. :) Can't wait & thanks for checking the blog for our updates... we are planning new cool things every day so keep your eyes peeled for the fun stuff that lies ahead :)

With last week rainy weather we had to reset a few appointments for this Friday.. so we are going to open the date up for booking to make it a full day for our setup :) We will use the same props and location as last weeks ~ I know you loved it, so no need for me to ramble on and on about how stinkin' cute it was! :) Here are two of my boys beating me with pillows.. have been photographing these lil' stinkers for years & have truly loved to watch them grow :) Thanks Cayla for sharing your sweet fellas with me.. I love them!

So come on out.. let's make some memories for you, let's make make my jaws hurt from laughter, and photograph the whole time! I absolutely had a blast with you all last week & can't wait for round 3. :) Great results guys ~ great clothing choices from you all! I loved it!!!

We have a perfect patch of heaven picked out for our photoday this year. We will be keeping location under wraps for now as it is a place we have yet to photograph & would like for our day to be one of a kind :0) We have put a lot of thought into this date & will be doing something a bit different. We will not be using truck or vintage car for this session but will have a unique set up which will include full size couch & many extras! You guys will be so excited when you arrive.. it's going to be so fun & different! Like in the past we just ask for you to trust us. We always are trying to outdo ourselves & come up with something fresh and new for you all... this year will be no different ~ it'll be top notch and have all your friends and family raving over your images! We will be using colors that include Moss Green, Golden Yellows & touch of vivid Red. I personally think Browns & jeans will be best suited for this day. Remember layers are best when talking pics.. so layer those clothes with cuteness!

Two Choices:

$180.00 includes session & disc *** $90.00 Due now to book session, remaining balance of $90.00 will be due at time of session.

$200.00 includes session & Disc & Card Design ***$90.00 Due now to book session, remaining balance of $110.00 due at time of session. If this package is not purchased at this time, the Christmas Card Design fee will be $35.00

We host these photos days to create beautiful one of a kind Christmas Cards to give out to your family & friends this coming Christmas. As we all know beauty pageant days are right around the corner. We have had many requests for mini session to obtain photos for 'Most Photogenic' ~ We've brought so many girls to victory in the past, let your daughter be one of them. We will host a mini photo day on August 13th in the morning hours for all our beautiful girls. *** October is our Apple Pageant, so book now to have your images back in time for the deadline.

Each child will be allowed 15 minutes of coverage time, though for most children it will not take this long to obtain the images we will need. Please know that 15 minutes of coverage is plenty of time to photograph your child, even if they are two and running wild.... After all, this isn't my first rodeo! :0)

You will receive 10 images on disc to print as you wish. The images will be full resolution files and ready for printing as small as wallet size or as large as poster size. The images will be edited as we normally edit, though we will be paying extra attention to touch up any boo boos or bumps on skin. When brushing skin, we take our time & really lightly touch up the image so that it remains looking like the subject instead of a plastic doll ;) So rest assured your images will be edited to perfection, but will remain your child's sweet face :)

We plan to photograph each child in a different way so that if a child were to be competing against another, their images will be completely different :)

BACK 2 SCHOOL photo day! August 6, 2011

Get ready for AUGUST 6th ~ It'll be 100% fun for the kids & will capture the meaning of childhood (wild and carefree!)

$150.00 Session and disc investment total. Payable in two payments $50 due now to book & final payment of $100 due August 6th. **Share our link on your Facebook page & if a friend books FOR THIS PHOTODAY, have them tell us your name (in payment section) and you will get $25 taken off your final payment for this shoot. The referral must be made when friend pays for session and only one referral discount per session.

We will be setting up our photoday in Talking Rock in a real, tried & true club house. I will be looking for a pirate style flag to hang from the door.. we are painting signs for the sides of the club house & over the door. The signs will read "NO BOYS ALOUD" / "NO GIRLS ALOUD" (depending on child) and above the door we will have custom name signs.. example "Lyla's Club House" or

"Tate's Fort established 2011" We may have some kinda treats for the kids to eat while in the club house. **Please email me if your child has allergies to certain foods**

I want to see funky attire ~ crazy colors, girls in tutu's, and funky leggings & boys in Skull shirts, ripped up jeans with rain boots! I want anything different and fun!!!

We want the kids to have fun with this photoday, as always we want them begging not to leave! I hear it all the time and I will never tire of hearing it "Nichol our children had so much fun & constantly ask when they can come back?!" So please when you tell the kiddos that they are going to have their pictures made.. use these words "Kids, let's get dressed as we are going to play with a friend of mine today.. her name is Nichol & she wants you to see her cool fort!" If the kids believe we are playing then I won't have to work through their stiff "Cheese" smile and they will have fun while I get the stuff I need :)

Each session will be 20 minutes of photographer's time and talent and will include the disc of images to print as you wish. We recommend using www.mpix.com for your printing needs. Please go to this site to view print pricing and extra products you may like.

Please make sure to arrive on time and dressed for your appointment slot as we will have appointments directly after yours. Please feel free to bring special props that are special to your children, we will always try to incorporate them into the set.

With your session you will get between 20-60 images depending on the child's temperament and age. We normally see an average of 40 images with sessions like this.

Here is a sample of the clubhouse.. it is not decorated and the lil sweetie in the image was not dressed in attire we are requesting, but his will give you an idea of the cuteness this day will hold :)

Barefoot Southern Summer Photo Day July 16th

Get ready for some CREEK PICS!!!! I'm so excited about this day ~ WHY?!??! Well it means I get to spend my day in the cool waters of the creek working to get the images you will treasure for a lifetime!
The sweet spot we have chosen has a tire swing to swing out over the water. The location is a beautiful, yet shallow creek so all the little ones will love it! Below are photos taken at the location, I can't wait to shoot there again! We plan to bring some off the wall prop, not determined just yet but I do know it'll be nothing but different and fitting for this day! So go ahead snag your spot, and we'll have a fun filled day capturing your memories! Bring your self, your family, just the kids, your pets, your pregnant belly, your grandma, your siblings, your best pal joe.. we don't care, just come happy & let's have some fun!

Session fee & disc of images $125.00. We will break this amount up into two payments ~ with $50.00 due today to book session and the remaining $75.00 due upon arrival of appointment. We will set up in the creek on July 16th (open appointments listed below). The session times will be 15 minutes each, which will provide at least 15-30 images per gallery. This weekend we will host our SWEET SUMMER TIME Photo Day ~ we will have a Super cool Chevelle ~ blue with white racing stripes!! We will have a watermelon to sink your teeth into, and lots of cute lil props like a sweet swing in a big old tree, red wagon, Glass Bottled Sodas, mason jars of Blackberries and anything else we can drag out that looks like good ole' Summer fun!

As announced on Facebook we are hosting a last minute mini photoday this Saturday May 21, 2011. We will be shooting in Jasper (directions will be posted Friday). For this photo day we will have an awesome 1934 Roadster ~ that is Navy Blue. This car is beyond cool and will photograph so well :) Wanna talk about excited.. this car gets me excited!

We will photograph each session for 20 minutes with the car and our random piece of furniture that we choose to bring.. I may bring out my big ole' Ice Blue Alice Chair that we have yet to use :)

Each session will see between 20-40 images displayed in online album, the album will be put to disc for your printing needs. You will have the printing rights to images and can print and share as much as you like. The images will be full resolution files and free of watermark.

Please note: this photoday will be for half day only! Once the spots below are filled that's it.. we can not open this day up anymore than what is listed below. I can't wait to photograph you all & make your memories last a lifetime.

So guess what!!??! This Saturday we are suppose to have beautiful weather and I have nothing to do.. so we're gonna throw a "Anything Goes" photo day! :) April 30, 2011

I posted this info to my Facebook to see if there were any takers & oh my.. the response was simply flattering! You guys are just amazing, I love the love you guys have for my work & am honored to captured your families for you. So here is the list that came from Facebook, please make sure to email me or text me if you need your time changed around or if you decide not to keep your appointment so that I can have the schedule nailed down as smoothly as possible.

For Saturday's 'Anything Goes' Day, we'll photograph you just as the title states ~ ANYTHING GOES! You can bring your sweet lil family, your pet, your car, your granny, your boyfriend, your whatever... because ANYTHING GOES! We'll have a great (NEW) outdoor location picked out by tomorrow and I'll post info on that hopefully tomorrow night.. keep in mind a HUGE storm is rolling in for Wednesday night & I can't work with my computer during lightening, etc... so please know that as soon as possible I will have the info up for you all :)

$100.00 total for disc and session time... this payment will be split into two payments. First payment is due directly to keep your name on the list or to add it to the list if not already. You will see small side road to the left of metal building, turn onto small road.. you will see large red gate, we will have them unlocked so just come on through & we'll be at the bottom of the hill near the barn area. Please find my truck (WHITE FORD 4 Door) and park closed to it so that your car isn't in the photo area.

FLuffy Fresh Linen Day May 7, 2011!!!!

Since May of 2009 The Fluffy Fresh Linen Day has been requested time and time again.. so here it is~ your chance to book! We are planning to have a new setting for this shoot & have a few extra props for the day. We'll have the fluffy bed and feathered pillows ready for you guys and all the extras are completely secret! I can tell you that this shoot will be one of the most talked about shoots to date. Don't miss out, we are going to out do ourselves on this one :) The Bed in the images is not the bed we will be using this year.. bedding will be starch white again so that the shoot will scream SUMMER! The extra props will match with just about any clothing choices. Please make sure to dress in something simple & summery.. this is a fun filled photo day and you'll need to be dressed comfortably & bare feet are a must :0) I've attached a few images from The 2009 Linen Day, which we just randomly planned on the National Pillow Fight Day.. Crazy fun, huh?!?! In photos below take a look at the clothing and colors to give you an idea of what to wear.

This is a great children's shoot as they truly have a blast while we photograph them.. they are able to crazy & wild and the results are fabulous! I do require the child to be able to sit alone in order to photograph all poses possible. If the child can not sit, the photo count/poses will be lower for your disc.

A vintage style bed will be set up OUTSIDE, waiting for your little one to bounce & play for up to 30 minutes while being photographed by Nichol Engle. The bed will have white linens & big fluffy pillows! I will provide a pillow of feathers for each child to toss and play as feathers fill the air! The day will be filled with great memories & lots of laughter! I can't wait to see how the photos turn out at our new location...I know the kids will love it! (please make sure NOT to tell your children about jumping on the bed....I want them to be calm enough to sit for a few pics, then I will tell them about the fun we'll have;) Thanks for understanding and helping me in this area.

BOOO HOO~ Nasty rain coming our way! With the forecast we will have to reschedule the Lamb Photo Day. I am debating on April 9th or 16th. We are outdoing ourselves again this year.. look what we have in store for The Class of 2012!

We'll be pulling out all stops on our Senior 2012 Photo Day! Don't miss out on this one, it's a once in a life time photo day & will be like nothing we've done before!

We have a super cool location in mind and will be settling on it soon. **Will post details as to location asap. (will be in Ellijay)

I will shoot for 45 minutes with each Senior. In this time client may change clothing as time allows, please note speedy changing will allow more photographing time :0) With the 45 minute session you will receive edited images as shown in online gallery on disc. Extra editing of words will be included on 5 images (example: Senior 2012 in corner of image) With 25 - 40 full resolution files on disc, you will be ready to print your images as you wish. We recommend printing at www.mpix.com, please check their site for printing pricing and options (professional printing quality at consumer pricing).

Once appointment log is filled we will no longer accept appointments for this date. Please note, if you were to pay fee below and slots are full your payment will be refunded directly. Please make sure to include your time choice and the name of High School Senior when booking. If time slot is taken we will put you in the closest slot available, first come first serve. March 26, 2011 is our Spring Photo Day!!! BOOK NOW :) This is a first for us, we've done baby chicks for Spring.... now we are going all out & will have a sweet baby lamb & a vintage tractor! My family and I will personally hand feed the sweet lamb so she is tame for you little ones to enjoy. She'll be all washed up, fluffy white and ready for your pictures! We will host our photo day in a country setting (with March Flowers/fields) this photo day will be for children & young teens. I will post pics of clothing ideas I have dreamed up for this special day. I'm thinking white linen or any country style clothing.. simple and sweet ♥ More pics of props to come :)

For this years shoot we are doing things a bit different.. we are going to do a candy shoot.. and will also do a set that includes a super cool couch I have rented for the day ~ ***SOOOO Excited about this couch.. it's beyond beautiful & I know each of you will love it! I'll post a picture just as soon as I get one, but trust me for now.. it's beyond words! We may also bring back the XOXO paint from a few years ago.. I'll post a pic in a bit of it :) Below are a few pics from prior intimate sessions.. (but can't post many, as I only have permission from a few girls.) Last year we were at Ronnie Thompson Ford Dealership with the 'Revvvvv his Engine Day!' The year before we did the 'Hugs & Kisses' day and this year will be THE SUGARY SWEEET DAY!!

$120.00 Split into two payments. $50.00 due to book your appointment, and the remaining balance of $70.00 will be due upon the day of your session. The Sugary Sweet Day will include photographer's time & talent for 30 minutes on set, also included is the disc of images. You will be able to print images for a photo book for your L♥VE or frame enlargements... or whatever your little heart desires ♥ I will provide an online professional lab for your connivence when printing high quality professional prints (print pricing will be at consumer costs.. just a few cents more than Walmart or any other local lab, but getting high quality prints!) The provided printing lab also offers speciality items such as calendars, hardback books, canvas prints, wall standouts, etc. :)

Online albums will be password protected so that you and you only will be able to view your images. If you want your pictures public we will leave the password off.. your call on it all :)

Editing for this session will included extensive editing on two images (smoothing of skin, whiting of eyes, smoothing hair, etc. ~ like in the image below & above). We will also have a few corsets like the one below that can be sized for girls from size small to extra large.... and no worries, if you don't want to get into a corset.. jeans and tube tops work great! We'll make you all look like you fell out of a magazine ~ it'll be fun for you & your hubby will also love it!!!
I will send out an email with suggested items to bring/wear. I will also included details as to location and color of sets, etc. in email. We have been working hard on having our in-home studio set up again & things are looking great! We have a few sample pics that Casey & I took the other day so you can see the color of the backgrounds. We are trying hard to finish up the last background today.. it'll be a wooded rustic looking finish. We will try tonight to post pics of it. Please keep in mind these backgrounds are right in line with my style of photography, and as normal I suggest fun, relaxed clothing for this session. Should you arrive with Christmas Dresses in hand, we do have black and white backgrounds to accommodate your attire.

We have not photographed all the backgrounds that will be used, but here is an idea of what to expect for tomorrow :0) Enjoy!

Hey Ya'll.. good news for ya! On November 20, 2010 I had taken the day off, but since we had a few appointments that needed rescheduling, we will be opening a few more spots that day & make a short photo day out of it. I know so many of you have been emailing for dates, and hopefully this date will work for you guys. I have been really LOVIN' the photo days ~ and know this one will be just as cool. We will be using a beautiful location with a super cute, old TRUCK ~ we will also bring out our NEW COUCH, that we named Emmie Lou :) can't wait for you guys to see her! Emmie Lou is a beautiful golden color (incase you want to color coordinate).

Please note this special price reflects last minute planning, though we will have the images completed for you all in time for printing Christmas Gifts. Our deadline is December 15 for all discs to be in your hands.. so you will have plenty of time to print & frame what you need :)

So sorry that I have cut it close this time on directions ~ but we had a little hiccup in our prior location.. So, I've found something even better! Here are few pics from the location. Okay guys, I have to change a few details around so that everything for fall flows well. I have an inbox full of appointment requests and no where to put them. I have a had a few last minute cancellations over the last couple of weeks and with no time to reschedule them. Considering this, I have decided to change the prepayment terms, (as stated all details can change without notice). Instead of paying for your session 2 weeks prior to your appointment date, I will be requiring Pre-payment of session fee in order to add your name to the calendar. For those of you who have an appointment scheduled with me, I will leave your name on the calendar for 1 week (until September 12, 2010) if payment is not made by this date your appointment time will be filled. I hope this doesn't bring inconvenience to you or your family, but feel this will help provide coverage for those who truly need an appointment. I have sent an invoice to most of you, if you did not receive one please contact me.. or scroll to bottom of blog to make payment. If you are NOT on the calendar, please do not pay for session.. as I do not have any open appointments slots at this time. ***Please note***this is for private hourly sessions, this does not apply to photo days, as photo days are already current on session fees.

Okay, Really guys this is going to be IT! Last call for 2010. I posted all the fall dates & they've all booked up, but my inbox is still over flowing & I just hate that I can't meet all of your requests. So, here you go!

On October 9th we are going to do a mini photo day ~ this photo day will be shot in front of a really cool barn in city limits of Ellijay. We will use one of our previous props like a couch or wooden bench for this set, the background will be a faded old white wash barn wall.. as shown in images above & below.

Session Fee $25.00 Disc fee $100.00 **please note, lower price due to number of photos, normal photo day results in 20+ images on disc, value = $200.00+

Please read all details below before submitting payment.

We will work for up to 15 minutes with each client to obtain 10 images to use for printing & Christmas cards. One session per client, we will not allow double booking for this date, to insure everyone has a chance to book. Due to current schedule I can not open this day any further than listed below, as editing is very time consuming & we all want to have the images in time for Christmas cards :) The 10 images will also be put to disc for you to print as you wish. With the digital images you will be able to enlarge images up to poster sized or as small as wallet size!

PLEASE NOTE ~ By submitting payment, you agree that the photo session fee is non-refundable for any reason other than bad weather. Also, remember final payment of $100.00 is due at time of session for the disc. Waterfall update:

Everything is as scheduled.. we were out at the location today setting up the swing and the water looks great! I am praying for the heavy rain to hold off. The forecast is calling for 50% chance through out tomorrow.. but I'm going to be there & take my chances. So long as the water is clear and the rain isn't falling, I'll be there! Please make sure to call me before you head out & like I said before, if I do not answer that is a good thing ~ means I'm shooting the session before yours. If it were to rain your appointment out I will refund your payment, if we aren't able to get your shots in.

I was praying for rain to bring the water level back, so we'd have a nice beautiful waterfall for tomorrow's photo day.. but got a bit more than what we need. I am so sorry, but we are going to reschedule the waterfall photoday until next Saturday. Please email me if you are unable to keep the appointment times that you were scheduled for. So, I normally don't do this but.... we are going to go ahead & post the fall photo days. My phone has been going crazy for the last few days with everyone wanting to book the fall dates since they didn't get in on the August shoot. These are the only dates we will be able to open for family sessions until 2011. Please read details in full before booking. The payment made below will be to hold your session, there will be final payment due at time of appointment. Session fee is non refundable, so please make sure to write this date down. This session will include photographer's time & talent for 30 minutes on dates stated above. CHRISTMAS CARD DESIGN with the best photo from your sesssion :) We will design the card in 4x8 or 5x7 size, then you can print them as you like. With this session you will be given the printing rights to photos on disc. You can copy, share, enlarge prints as you like. All images will be edited as shown on website & ready for printing. Disc will come with cute custom photo label with printing rights on label. Photos will be full resolution files and can be printed upto poster size prints. We will also provide online professional printing lab info for your printing needs, so that you recieve professional grade images at cost.

We plan to have a Country Outdoor location, possibly with a VINTAGE TRUCK... still working on that ;) All the details are still in the works, but like previous photo days ~ just trust me.. I'll be GREAT! We always go all out for the seasonal shoots & will not shoot at a location that is anything less than amazing!

So we have the perfect waterfall, now we just need some cute lil faces!

On August 7th we will host The Waterfall of FUN Photo day in beautiful Ellijay Ga! $75 per session with discounted disc pricing!!! Check below for a slideshow of photos taken at this awesome location. This photo day will be for family, kiddos, couples, high school seniors, modeling, pets, etc. We plan to have some cute furniture sitting in the pooled water... incase you don't want to get wet :) Plans are also being made to hang a swing just above the water for the little ones!! I can't wait to hear the laughter of your children as we play and have fun, while creating great lasting memories for you wall! Please read all details before submitting payment, please check available times prior to payment.

We will work with each appointment for 30 minutes, as we normally do during photodays :) Each session will be shown 20-60 images online through http://www.nicholenglephotography.zenfolio.com/ At time of session the final payment of $100 will be due, this payment is for the disc of images. The images on disc will be just as shown on website gallery. The images on disc will be full resolution, edited images that are ready for printing. A professional online printing lab will also be included with your purchase. From this lab you can order professional grade prints at photographer's cost.

Okie doke ~ I have it all together :) I know there are several of you who have been stalking the blog for the past week & are probably so excited to see it posted!

We will be hosting the Senior Class of 2011 Photo Day on September 25, 2010 (Saturday). Big things will happen this year ~ we will be hitting different locations through out the day, we'll talk about the location that suits your child the best & that's where we'll shoot. I will have fun new props for this photo day (maybe a comfy couch) & some of my traditional stuff too (suitcases, thank you signs, frame, etc.) I will only be able to open 6 slots as listed below. We will be working with each client for 1 hour. I will give each of you a call to chat about locations & email directions out in August :) If inclement weather, we will reschedule to October 9th. Please make sure to have both dates available just incase.

As you can see in the prior post (below) we have a great time with Seniors! I absolutely love photographing Seniors, it is a time in life that if full of adventure. Seniors sessions are a blast, as each of the young adults bring something new to the day. I can't wait to meet your child & capture this very important milestone. As always, we are hosting this as first come first serve. Once payment is made you will be added to the appointment log. Please send your preferred time slot in the comment area of your payment form. So many of you are asking for a new blog post.. we'll wanna see what has been keeping me away from my blog ~ Here's the reason...

the garden is calling my name, daily! Though all the hard work is paying off as we bring in fresh dinner :)

Another love I have found is the river. We have been heading to the river any free second we have. Tate has been out of school not even a week & we've hit the water several times. It is like a wonderland out there and the kids learn so much by being in the natural setting. We hiked up the falls yesterday only to find more beauty. Such a great way to spend a day. I'm oh so blessed to be living life to it's fullest. A big thanks to Rob for all his time spent away from home working so that all this is possible. I love ya, babe! I have everything I could possibly dream of and it's a little thing called family...just wish you weren't away so much. We miss you!

Kristen & I have also been super busy with wedding coverage, photo days & private sessions. We've covered so many awesome families in the last few weeks & am so proud of the captures! Thanks to you all for sharing your moments with Kristen & I. We have enjoyed getting to know you all better & making lasting memories of you life.

Congrats to Tracy & Tom, you guys are truly a cute, love-able couple that I enjoyed working with.

We had an awesome turn out for both photo days. Our second day was a bit overcast & made things somewhat challenging to capture that perfect lighting, but thanks to you all who came & waded through the wet grass & enjoyed the river with us.

Anything Goes Photo Day #2 Grace, and Emma Kate Bramlett ~ these girls are little firecrackers! I love hearing what lil Grace will think up next. She is a riot just to sit and listen to ;) I love her pink toe nails & her sassy lil grin. Emma Kate and I met when she was a weee lil one (newborn session) She was a pure beauty from day one. I am so thankful for all of my repeat clients who I have been blessed to watch grow over the last few years. You guys are why I do what I do. Thanks!

Anything Goes Photo Day #3 Codie & Matthew. My new clients! I had such a great session with lil Matthew, and his mother is to die for.. such a beautiful woman, who needs to realize how truly beautiful she is.. I'd kill for her hair! Really~ watch out Codie ;) lol

Little Matthew, he captured my heart & I will forever and ever remember his session. As I carried him from the creek, his fat lil fingers stroked my hair as his little head laid on mine. It made my heart melt, as I could close my eyes and remember Tate doing the same thing at his age. Thanks Codie for sharing your little love bug with me, hold him tight.. it goes by fast!

I also had the pleasure of meeting this lil fella. Everyone welcome Morgan Pritchett to the wonderful world. I started photographing his older brother, Logan while he was still in the oven. This family has been such a blessing to know, and I am so happy to see them adding to the bunch! Congrats, Donnie & Melissa ~ he's perfect in every way!

Oh and the wonderful Wells Family. I loved this Family at the Apple Orchard Shoot & they brought whole crew this time. We had fun working with such a large group. Thanks guys for the great evening! Little Lila, I'm gonna eat you up the next time I see ya.. love those red little curls!

The Fletcher Family ~ now they were fun! One busted lip & wet pants later ;) Just playin' guys ~ I'm the one who said to throw the rock & I'm the one who wanted to jump in the water for the shot. I totally loved it & the pics are sooooo worth the bumps and bruising I run into.. I'll be posting more to your session asap! Thanks for the fun & can't wait for your to join us on a photo day in the future!

We also had life long friends of Rob's from Ohio come in for the weekend. What a sweet family they were. I am glad to have met them after hearing all the war stories they've had together ;) Check out lil Declan, my kids can't stop talking about him.. (almost for a second had me seeing us with another baby ~ but then I remembered all the sleepless nights & decided to hold the baby and return him to his Momma ;) **Jen & Dave, you guys forgot a bottle here.. you should come get it asap, it's worth the drive down ;)

(normally between 25-60 images) April 26 & 27th between the hours of 5:00 -7:00pm All my weekends are booked, so we are going to try something new and have a few photo days during the week! The lighting is perfect during these hours for this location.. it's the only hours we can shoot here, so that the sun setting in the background which makes the image pure magic! Anything Goes Photo Day is exactly as it's titled. Anything Goes = we'll photograph your babies, your mother, your & your lover, your dog, your cat, your significant other. You name it we'll do it! Each session will be for 30 minutes. $100.00 includes your session & disc of images. Disc of images will contain all images as shown in online album. (Edited, free of watermark, ready for printing) This photo day will be located in Ellijay. Directions will be emailed.

So, here's the deal.... I have pondered and pondered on how to make my work flow better. How to serve you all to the fullest yet still have family come first. In the past photography was a hobby, something I enjoyed doing & just so happened to make some green while doing it. Session fees, editing cost, etc. were not really important as it was simply something I enjoyed doing & enjoyed having extra spending money when I could. I'm not ashamed to say that things are different now. Due to the economy I am no longer able to cut you guys so much slack, as my family relies on my income now. I have worked well with you all on discounting rates when needed or waiving certain fees or due dates to fit your budget. I've been trying to host photo days to serve all budgets & make payment plans an option for you all.
I have found over the last few months that print orders and disc purchases on private sessions are a bit hard for you all to swing. Therefor the photo days were made into "anything goes" days. Meaning I'll photograph anything on that day.. engagement, baby, couples, kiddos, etc. for a lesser charge, since I am not purchasing large photo props for the day. While, I have a booked schedule with private sessions I have noticed a few cancellations but not with enough time to reschedule them. Therefor the Prepayment notice comes in. For those of you who are booked in the first three weeks of April, the prepayment for editing time will not be required, you will still have 30 days to order your images or disc. The session fee however will be required in advance to hold your appointment. I will send out invoices tonight. Details will be listed in your invoice as to when the payment is due by.

While I hate to crack down on fees, due dates, etc. I have spent many nights lately editing until 3am, to get the work load finished & have yet to process your order. All expired albums online will have until April 18, 2010 to order. After this date images will no longer be available for purchase.

I hope you all understand the reason for change. If you should want to move your private appointment over to a photo day appointment for the discounted photo day rate, please email me. Unless photo props are to be purchased the photo days are $100.00 for the session and disc! Great savings!

What a great photo day this was. And I'm gonna say it again "I wish I had brought my kiddos out to this one!" I LOVE LOVE LOVE the turn out of this day. I love seeing an idea develop before my eyes! I have to say a HUGE thank you to Kristen Thompson for all her hard work that hot day. Without her the photos wouldn't be what they are ~ she's my light, and what is a photo image made of ~ LIGHT. Another thank you to Vicki Thompson, for all your ideas & props! Thanks to Neal Smith for his AWESOME car, which really topped the whole thing off. Thanks to the Towery Family for the great location & trust they put in me to use it. Thanks to Kristie Roland, for helping all the little stinkers get dressed. Thanks to 3 little Birds Boutique for the custom clothing designs ~ you are wonderful! And thanks to YOU~ for coming out & giving me something to photograph.
So, as you see photo days take a lot of planning & help from everyone. I had spoke of planning another photo day at the end of this month, but will not be able to fully plan it out just yet. (May 8th, is a possibility..but also Mother's Day weekend...so let me ponder on it for a few more days & yes, this is your heads up for booking! hee hee)
I've been working hard to get all the editing completed, but aging these photos is very time consuming. I'm about 90% complete, and am spending all these pretty days inside on my computer.. so rest assured I will finish them up pronto ;) I'm thankful to have such patient clients, who understand that it all takes time & that I will complete the images to their fullest. And here it is, in black & white ~ so hold me to it! "I WILL FINISH THE IMAGES THIS WEEK." now, you all have my word.. and it's as good as gold. So plan to pick up the discs, if you did pre-pay, this weekend. If you did not, you may order prints via the website or contact me for calculation of you disc price, which will be determined by the number of images we collected.

Joy Martin Benefit ~ you gotta come!

I personally have been counting down the days until the fun begins! I LOVE LOVE LOVE

live music & can't wait to hear all the talented artists do there thing! With 7 different
groups playing I know there will be something there for everyone to enjoy! Please say
you'll come, it'll be fun & the end results are great. Joy Martin needs a lil pick me up
& this will for sure do the trick.

Imagine for a second you've went through half of what Joy has......

what would be the drive to make you put one foot

in front of another & learn to walk again? What would give you a

vision of happiness? Ready for the answer....

It'd be your faith in God, and everyone around you pushing you up because they love you,

because they know you can make it.

So let's be there for her. With me, you, your sister, your brother, your friend, your mother,

your neice, your neighbor, your grandpa, your church family, your co-worker, your

housekeeper, your banker, your teacher, and your children attending this benefit Joy will

see that she can make it through the recovery process. That we are all standing behind to

pat her on the back for all that she has accomplished.

The concert is free to public, so plan to spend one evening helping a super sweet lady know

As I tossed & turned in bed last night I came to the thoughts of my Granny & how I wished I had photographed her more. I was thinking of the last time I saw her, how I tried to soak up every line in her skin, the curls in her hair, tried to take mental pictures of her hands... all the things about her I thought I may one day forget. I know these things may fade, but also know I will see her in me everyday that I hold my children or when I see my Momma smile. I know my Granny touched many lives, and she will live on in each of us. I will still wish I had photographed her, captured her sweet clasp of hands, or the way her eyes squinted when she smiled. So, in memory of my Granny I will give that to you.

I will spend one day traveling Ellijay to homes of the elderly. I want to see these people in their normal state. I want to capture them for who they really are, I want their hair to be fixed as they normally fix it, their clothing to be their everyday attire. No need to straighten up their house, I want it to be just as it would be if you walked into it today. I want to not only photograph them, but hear their stories and learn from them as I capture images of their lives. The day I have reserved for taking these photos will be April 6th (Tuesday). I will email the winner with the times available for that day. There will be 4 winning photos. The person who submits the photo will receive the disc of images edited & ready for printing. The disc can be duplicated & shared with family, friends, etc. Please make sure to okay this with the person whom you are nominated prior to submitting the photo.

Okay guys ~ let's try this again.. March 6th (yes, this Saturday!) We will be hosting "Anything goes" day. Exactly as the name states, anything goes... so bring your kids, your grandkids, you & and your brother, your momma, your better half, your dog, or just you! I will be cutting you guys a super deal ~ in light of the last minute planning & the pay out being small we will have a small price tag for this one (go ahead and squeal now)... okay are you ready!??!? $100.00 for session & disc!!!!! No, typo ~ really we are going to have your 30 minute session at Talking Rock Creek and your images put on disc (with cute lil label) all for 100 smackers!

I have posted some images I've captured at this location, just to give you all an idea of what to expect. It will also give you an idea of clothing choices ~ All of you ask "what should I wear?" I'll tell you ~ wear exactly what you wear everyday, what makes you feel like you! There are two requirements...

1st You must come happy... so none of this stressing for the perfect outfit, or worrying about lil Jr.'s scratch on his nose. Just come as you are, let's have fun & make some memories!

2nd If you have children, you cannot tell them that you are going to have their pictures taken. Instead tell them that you are going to play with a few of your friends (Nichol & Kristen) and that they might get to help us with a fun job. This will help them fight the urge to paste the 'perma-grin/cheese smile' on their cute lil faces! Instead what we will find is happy children, acting natural. After all that is the child you want me to capture, Right!??! So, make sure not to prep your child, threaten, or bribe them.. leave the bribing up to me ;)

I want this day to be a fun filled day that captures your family & will become a great memory for you all.
Please keep in mind, I do have existing appointment in the evening hours. The spots that are posted now, will be the only appointments available. I will not be able to open Sunday for booking, so if you think you want a spot ~ act fast! Once payment is made your will be added to the blog's appointment list. Payments are non-refundable. Should the weather act up, as it has been this year... your payment will be refunded in full.

I know I mentioned hosting a photo day this weekend in placement of the vintage shoot... but will not be able to host the day. In memory of my Granny who passed this evening, I will be taking the weekend to be with family. I'm sorry that I mentioned the opening of the family day with such a great discount & am unable to fulfill it, I promise we will do it for you guys.. I will try to free up a day in the next couple of weeks.

Okay, as bad as I hate to.... we are going to move the date to March 20, 2010. I just can't bring myself to swallow the thought of having the weee lil ones out in this cold in short sleeved attire. If you guys want to blame someone.. lets go after that dang groundhog! I'm ready for Spring & am over excited about this day, but think it'll be best to move the date to March 20th.

I have several phone calls to return in request for dates but here's a heads up.... if you guys want a session (family, couples, kiddos, etc.) I can put you down for this weekend on the 27th of Feb. or the 28th. First of all, thanks Sayward for bringing the 'Love Cup' idea into my life.. I use it daily :) So now, I am going to spread your motherly love cup to others.

Some of you have scored BIG in the past game, but this one will leave EVERYONE'S love cup full! The more you guys give, the more I give....so here is the game that gives us all that warm and fuzzy feeling deep inside our tummies!

I will post some of my favorite images from past sessions, you will be able to vote for your favorite image. The image with the most votes will be blown up and printed on Metallic paper for the owner of the photo. As the voting grows = the prizes will grow. (example: Framing, Canvas, Gallery Wraps, Free Session, Free Disc of images, etc.) The winner will be given the photo prize and their image will be printing in the local newspaper announcing the 'Voter's Choice' for best photo, (and will invite others to cast their future votes for Local Love). But want to hear who the real winner is..... Joy Martin.

The voting will be $2.00 per vote, 100% of proceeds will go Joy Martin to aid with medical bills from her surgery. Joy Martin is a strong woman & mother who has fought through Brain surgery to remove a tumor. She has had a long recovery & is doing great (so proud of you Joy)! While Joy had an extensive stay in the hospital, the bills accumulated without insurance to cover the charge. So let's try to make a dent in those medical bills for this sweet gal.
